The deepest meaning of ‘collage’, defined by Max Ernst, is the general application of Arthur Rimabauds ‘delirium’: “I accustomed myself to simple hallucination; I saw quite deliberately a mosque instead of a factory, a drummer's school conducted by angels, carriages on the highways of the sky, a salon at the bottom of a lake: monsters, mysteries, a vaudeville poster raising horrors before my eyes”.

We could describe collage as an alchemic compound of two or more heterogeneous elements, derivate by their unexpected approximation generated deliberately by the search of systematic confusion and distorted perception.

Alex Under confirmed himself as the new reality of the best international techno, sometimes being minimal and deep, sometimes hard and aggressive, but always original. He creates a sonic collage combining techno, trance and house elements while he constructs complex rhythms that arise from the dance floor taking the listeners to a higher level where emotions, depth, mind & body blend in a unique equation. Alex Under will intrigue beyond your perception.

The man behind the NET28 family -Apnea, CMYKmusik, Cyclical Tracks and Mupa, together with Tadeo, Damian Schwartz and Imek, is also 50% of ‘Musica Charlista’, a project shared with Damian Schwartz: jazz deconstruction from a techno point of view ... Pure delight for our inferior extremities.

„Dispositivos De Mi Granja“ is his debut album on Trapez and includes an explosive version of his hit „Las Bicicletas son para el Verano“ from his first EP on Trapez plus the biggest variety so far on one format. The Album was elected to N°4 of the best Albums of the Year 2005 by the German groove Magazin, whilst Alex himself was chosen to the 3rd best Newcomer 2005. In 2006 ‘Collage’ was released in Plus 8, Richie Hawtins' label.

Besides this album, 7 EP´s of Alex Under were released on TRAPEZ until today and we can expect some more. His productions are based on construction/deconstruction, hypnotic melodies, over blunt electronic rhythms and fine bass-lines. A motto which could be applied to his style: “Minimal techno, house, acid... no prejudices and no frontiers“
